This is Afra, a writer who has worked in AI, journalism, and crypto. I grew up in China and was educated in the U.S. (in history and media studies).

I am deeply drawn to technology and understand it through several dimensions:

• the complex role of technology in contemporary China's rise

• how "Chinese tech" influences Silicon Valley and the rest of the world

• the human and cultural phenomena within technological evolution - I seek to excavate deeper truths from the weight of history and human nature
